I should have ordered a large, not an xl, though I can make it work because I will be wearing a cinched overdress but I will have to modify the straps so that the top hits where it’s meant to. The design could have included adjustable sliders.

The Amelia chemise has the same full, flowing skirt as the Juliette— swirly, dancy and flowing. In Gray, the chemise with a vest is a light dress. I enjoy it very much!
I have this dress in 3 sizes (first purchase I should've gotten a size down but kept it as a nightgown) and a total of 8 colors that are daily wear for me, including Midnight Black. I've seen people ask about how sheer the fabric is, and with mine it's only enough to barely make out the silhouettes of my legs when light passes through the skirt just right but not enough for anything beyond that. I have medical issues that affect my weight and make me self-conscious about being photographed but this dress at least makes me feel comfortable in my skin since it drapes well over without clinging anywhere in an unflattering way. I'm 5'4"/roughly 210lbs last time I checked, and the XL/1X is a great fit. For those curious about the difference between the Regular and Tall sizing I've tried both in the same letter size and most of the difference seems to be in the skirt, but I haven't tried laying them on top of each other to compare more directly than that. The Regular hits about an inch or two below my knees and feels super swishy, the Tall hits closer to ankle length and feels less swishy but is still very flowy, but I haven't noticed any major difference in the armholes or where the neckline hits. I've actually started to prefer the Tall because I just like longer dresses, but it doesn't catch in the wheels of my desk chair as much as when I tried layering a Celestia Petticoat under a Regular (that said, the Celestia Petticoat is really lovely under this). Honestly, if you like layering in your everyday outfits this is a really versatile, low-maintenance dress that's held up really well to weekly wear and routine machine washing per the recommended care instructions.
